The Resort has been designed within its own forest which includes a host of species of flora and fauna. The resort feature 20 single and double air conditioned villas each with its own private balcony overlooking the Chitwan National Park, surrounding Bote villages, the Narayani River and the layout of the resort has been designed to depict a typical jungle safari resort. The tastefully decorated rooms with local artifacts have wood floors with throw carpets, a cozy living area and twin/ double bed, the spacious attached bathrooms with solar heated running hot and cold water are a beautiful blend of wood, granite and bamboo (rattan). The thatched roofs of the villas are made from the abundant Siru grass therefore they blend easily into the surroundings. The Resort will feature a central dining area with a large terrace overlooking the man-made lake, a bar and lounge with library cum reading room. The lake will be a feast for bird watching of both resident as well as migratory bird species. It also has it’s own organic farm which supplies the vegetables and milk products to the resort and jungle lodge. The Resort will also feature a swimming pool that has been designed according to the lay of the land and a Conference hall.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our main aim is to provide a platform for cultural awareness and sustainable tourism in the Himalayas through the promotion of responsible tourism. Our main vision is how we operate tourism, that there is more to an object, or an experience, than simply the material, that humanity exists and an intrinsic worth that speaks beyond words. This is art, this is culture, this is magic. At The Temple Tiger Group of Companies we believe in providing and preserving this magic.  Our visitors are not just 'another tourist' for us.  We treat each tourist as our guests and strive to win their friendship which accounts for that little difference.

We offer the traveler a combination of expertise and progressive thinking that is impossible to find elsewhere. We have worked hard to bring our company to the forefront of the industry and our services are among the most professional, service-oriented and efficient found in Nepal today. We are known for providing our guests with a level of personal service and attention to detail that cannot be matched. We believe in the value of people and the value of an experience, providing good people with memories that will last a lifetime is our way of making this world a little wiser, a little kinder and a little bit smaller.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM AND RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL

The Temple Tiger Group of Companies is committed to Responsible and Sustainable Tourism   through policies and practices which permeate all aspects of our business, ensuring that all our holidays are undertaken in a way which is socially, environmentally and culturally sound. Responsible Tourism remains at the very core of everything we do.
We feel strongly that all our holidays should benefit the local communities, protect the environment by minimizing pollution, and respect local traditions, religion and heritage. We tread lightly - low volume, low impact holidays are the best way of preserving the beautiful and fragile places we visit.

Nepalese tour operators have been slow to recognize the importance of sustainable tourism. However, from the very beginning we have been passionate about protecting the very destinations that sustain our business. We use - even though it hurts our bottom-line - only renewable energy at Green Jungle Resort. Each room has solar powered reading lamps, fans and attached modern bathrooms equipped with solar-heated showers. The Lodge’s photovoltaic solar power plant is the largest in Nepal.

Our conservation efforts were recognized as early as 2001 when we were commended at the British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow awards. Our resort has also been awarded the best green resort by the Pacific Asia Travel Writers' Association.

Community Initiatives

We consider the local community to be an integral part of what we do and encourage local involvement at every possible level. More than 80% of our staff comes from the neighboring villages and we regularly use the services of local craftsmen and manpower. Our dance troupe comes from the adjoining Bag-khor village where we have been sponsoring the Teachers salary at the local Primary School.

We have also made considerable donations to the local health-post including a refrigerator for medication storage. We consider our neighbors to be an integral part of our operation and are committed to the continued development of the local community.
